M VERSION - BONUS CD WITH "1994/5/4 Psychotoronic Driving 2 Tune, Kawasaki Club Citta"

“Performance” by G.I.S.M., one of Japan's leading hardcore punk bands, is finally released on DVD for the first time in 40 years! This video, which fuses the full live footage from their performance at the launch concert for the punk magazine “POW (PUNK ON WAVE)” held at Nakano Public Hall on May 30, 1985, with footage of the Vietnam War personally selected by Yokoyama SAKEVI, is being revived after 40 years. The director is Junji Yasuda, who helmed all of G.I.S.M.’s official videos, including “A Little Rain Won’t Hurt,” “Even Wonderful Days Can Be Frightening,” and “The Blue Era of Punks.” There is no precedent for a live performance filmed with three 8mm cameras in a venue with a capacity of over 1,000 people. For this release, the preserved 8mm film and the 6mm open-reel tape recorded by TAM, the guitarist for Stalin, were digitally remastered and re-edited by Yasuda. The film grain, scratches, and the raw, live sound have resulted in footage that captures the raw intensity of G.I.S.M. Yokoyama SAKEVI, reminiscent of an Islamic terrorist, and RANDY Uchida in his heavy metal attire; HIROSHIMA playing drums against a backdrop of Vietnam War footage and a choir projected onto the venue walls and bassist KANNON. Even today, it captures an overwhelming worldview and a tension unique to G.I.S.M. that defies belief for a hardcore punk band from 40 years ago. This special edition comes in four different version, each one with a different bonus disc with a selected performance.
