LEGENDARY 1981 CALIFORNIAN HARDCORE/PUNK – THE ORIGINAL DR. KNOW LINE-UP WITH BRANDON CRUZ ON VOCALS!! Back to the very beginning of the legendary DR. KNOW, one of the pioneering bands of the Southern California NARDCORE movement alongside ILL REPUTE, AGRESSION and STÄLÄG 13! This essential archival LP collects the band's earliest demo recordings from 1981, featuring the original line-up with BRANDON CRUZ on vocals, KYLE TOUCHER on guitar, ISMAEL HERNANDEZ on bass and RIK HELLER on drums! 12 tracks of primitive, furious and genuinely explosive AMERICAN HARDCORE/PUNK, capturing the raw intensity of the first wave of Californian hardcore! Buzzing guitar distortion, frantic drumming, driving bass lines and Brandon Cruz's aggressive, snarling vocals deliver a frantic succession of early HC attacks, including "Waste Of Time", "Fear Of War", "El Salvador", "No Exit", "God Bless America" and "Emergency Room"! Recorded before the band's later evolution towards a heavier, more metallic sound, these recordings reveal DR. KNOW at their most spontaneous and abrasive, deeply rooted in the original spirit of early '80s US HARDCORE. An essential historical document for fans of CIRCLE JERKS, BLACK FLAG, ILL REPUTE and classic Southern California PUNK! 12 TRACKS OF ORIGINAL 1981 HARDCORE RECORDINGS – MYSTIC RECORDS VINYL EDITION
