An underground punk band is indestructible. That is the premise of Revolución X, a radical underground band if ever there was one. Born out of the Zapatista uprising in southern Mexico in January 1994, the group has used punk as an instrument of agitation and direct attack. Part of the historic 1990s hardcore punk movement in Spanish in the United States, to which Los Crudos and Huasipungo belong, for Revolución X, punk “will be subversive or it will not be.”
“Revolución Permanente” brings together their entire official discography, originally released in France and the United States. It also includes a live recording from El Paso, Texas, and a previously unreleased bonus track recorded in 2015 in Mexico City. The lyrics of all the songs included, little-known posters and images, and some new written material are also included.
