BLACK UNIFORMS are one of the most cult bands from an already-cult scene. Originally active from 1981-1983 and then from 1986 until the beginning of the '90s, BLACK UNIFORMS hailed from the Swedish hardcore punk scene, which sprung up in the wake of Discharge's landmark Why?. BLACK UNIFORMS early on bore the distinct mark of Discharge, but particularly during their second run, they took on a thrashier aspect that many of the original UK82 bands helped jumpstart. Retroactively, BLACK UNIFORMS are most renown for the membership of one Cliff Lundberg, who played bass for Moderat Likvidation during the former's first hiatus but more so as guitarist for Anti-Cimex's massively influential second period before then going on to form the legendary Driller Killer. BLACK UNIFORMS stand supremely tall: completely "of the times," but those times were glorious indeed. BLACK UNIFORMS' scattered demo recordings contained countless gems of raw, greasy glory. Splatter Punx on Acid collects those demos and unleashes them to those hungry for authentic UK82-gone-metal propulsion. This new edition does not only feature a whole new layout, but a bonus disc featuring unreleased 1982 and 1983 demos. Mandatory.
