Like a grotesque, barely-alive human crawling out of a burning pit of tar, here comes Abscess, out of the remains of death metal legends Autopsy and Hexx. Abscess cranks out 33 minutes of fairly repulsive sounding, gory death metal that's devoid of any sort of melody, structure or hook, the way it should be. Tormented proves to be a well assembled pile of rotting blasphemy and madness-drenched decay. he invasion of death rocking guitars set to "Entombed overdrive" in "Madness and Parasites", "Halo of Disease" and "Ratbag" suggest that Reifert watched the progression of the nineties contemporaries he had ironically helped influence into existence. This is a great punishing yet fun album! Highly reccomended!
