OBSCURE '90s HUNGARIAN DEATH/DOOM METAL GEM – FINALLY ON CD WITH EXCLUSIVE BONUS TRACKS!!
Unearthed from the forgotten depths of the Hungarian extreme metal scene, CONSECRATION's 1996 demo "Vágyódás" ("Longing") finally receives a proper CD release! Formed in 1994 in Vác, Hungary, this short-lived band delivered a haunting dose of primitive, sorrow-drenched DEATH/DOOM METAL, deeply rooted in the bleak atmosphere of the early '90s. Crushing, funereal riffs, agonizingly slow tempos, cavernous guttural growls and mournful melodies emerge from a raw, murky recording that perfectly captures the desolate spirit of the era. Think of the earliest MY DYING BRIDE, PARADISE LOST and the most depressive side of classic European DEATH/DOOM, with that unmistakable lo-fi charm that makes obscure '90s demo recordings so fascinating! A rare glimpse into a band whose existence was tragically cut short in 1996, now rescued from oblivion for a new generation of doom worshippers and collectors of forgotten extreme metal treasures. FIRST OFFICIAL CD EDITION! Carefully mastered by P. Engel, preserving the recording's original bleak and oppressive atmosphere. This CD version also includes EXCLUSIVE PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED BONUS TRACKS from the band, not featured on the vinyl edition! STRICTLY LIMITED AND NUMBERED TO 200 COPIES!!
