VERY RARE FAN CLUB EDITION ON BLUE MARBLED VINYL!

That's right, turns out before Obituary were death metal legends, they were a good old-fashioned thrash metal ensemble by the name of Executioner. In fact, the only part of this that could be considered death metal is some of the slower breakdown riffs and perhaps the thick guitar tone. Besides that, this is thrash to the bone. And some mighty good thrash it is. This demo almost makes you wonder what kind of awesome shit they'd have put out as a thrash metal band. The riffing is ultra heavy and quire original. Singer John Tardy is actually entirely understandable in his vocal delivery. The lyrics here are kick-ass and 110% thrash. Take the chorus of "Metal Up Your Ass." "Metal up your ass/all the people being to thrash/metal up your ass/the stage beings to trash." And that's just a sampling. Another highlight on here is the lead guitar. The solos are nice and there's no underlying rhythm track, so you get a nice isolated bass tone under the soloing. Killer performance from everyone involved. As for the songs themselves, "Syco-Pathic Mind" is the much faster and more intense of the two, but they both make a nice addition to the 80's thrash catalogue. You'd be a damned fool to let this one slip through your fingers. This is some fine fucking thrash that's incredibly well produced for a first demo. Metal up your ass, enough said.
