Conviction were one of the most influential straight edge hardcore bands of the early 90's. There are bands that are considered trailblazers of new genres and styles, and over thirty years ago Conviction were an example of that... They managed to push late-'80s classic hardcore toward darker, gloomier sounds while retaining speed and aggression, much like what Judge and early Integrity did.
